Inflation means the rate at which price increases, it is always showed in percentage.

Inflation risk is the risk that return on investment is less than the rate of inflation. In other words, it is the risk of the purchasing power of investors’ money falling. Purchasing power is likely to halve in retirement if enough capital growth is not sought. This risk is gradual.
